A CAMPAIGN
FOR THE FUTURE
Facing the decline of pluralism and democracy, we are launching a campaign to lay the foundation for global progress.
A 3 year, $5 million campaign
to create tools and develop new avenues for cross-cultural work.
OUR 4 PROGRAM PILLARS
Promoting Freedom of Expression and Discovery
$1.25 million
We will expand our fellowship program targeting obstructed scholars who need safe locations and financial support to pursue their work.

-
Over the course of 3 years, we will identify, recruit and invite 150 scholars for short- to medium-lenght stays at Maison Suger.
-
Over 3-6 months, individuals will connect with other scholars and build access to international academic networks.
-
Our support will include opportunities to publish research, attend international conferences and develop critical skills for future professional competitiveness.

Accelerating Cooperation, Digital Dissemination and Fight Against Disinformation
$2 million
We seek to develop new tools and digital networks that will help information flow between scientists and citizens. This includes exploring opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to protect truth and fact-based knowledge. Within this pillar, we will:

-
Develop communication tools like videos, interactive courses, podcasts, immersive metaverse experiences and exhibitions to reach broader audiences and fight against disinformation.
- Expand the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) on critical topics to global security and progress - including greater indexing of publications, expanded research partnerships and more collaborative spaces to foster cross-border connections.
- Build our platform "Inhabiting the 21st century" as a forum for advanced reflection across several disciplines, to document critical thinking and follow major ongoing transitions from sustainable development to innovative architecture, sociology, philosophy and more.
Extending Collections to Circulate Knowledge Beyond Borders
$750,000
We will amplify our work in translating collections of
academic works from Africa, Asia, North and South America, the Middle East, Slavic countries and Central Asia.

-
Translations make it possible for French-speaking academics to access firsthand, unfiltered analyses that may otherwise be inaccessible - improving the quality and richness of scholarship.
-
This project brings attention and representation to unseen academics, including junior researchers, those from the Global South and other traditionally excluded groups.

Strenghtening the Capacity of NextGen Humanities and Social Sciences Scholars
$1 million
We will launch the FMSH Young Scholar Academy.

-
The program will equip junior researchers with critical skills to the practice of the humanities and social sciences, including promoting the value of exchange and collaboration.
-
Young scholars will benefit from an expanded professional network and gain additional skills in communication, research dissemination, data analysis and management.
